Charles Saunders Hits the Internet with an Exciting New Website This Spring is indeed becoming a sort of revival for Charles Saunders, with a new book, the coming publication of "Progeny of Conan" and now a website. Be sure and check out the site and keep up to date with Charles' upcoming projects. -- Posted by Damon C. Sasser on April 23,2008 ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ Nathan Furman and Charles Saunders added to the REH: Two-Gun Raconteur #12 Line-up I'm very pleased two announce two recent additions to the already stellar line-up of contributors for issue #12: - Up and coming artist Nathan Furman, in his first TGR appearance, brings us two action-packed inside front and back covers illustrating two scenes from the Conan classic, "Xuthal of the Dusk" (aka "The Slithering Shadow"). Look for more of Nathan's fine work in upcoming issues. - Charles Saunders, a long-time contributor and friend of TGR, returns with his long lost Conan article, "Progeny of Conan." The article will be published here for the first time, was originally slated two appear in issue of Amra in the late 1970's, but for some reason it never saw print These two talented gentleman, along with all the other excellent writers and artists onboard for TGR #12, it is shaping up to be the best issue yet. Here is a bit of good news from Charles Saunders regarding his return to print with a Dossouye book: "My Dossouye novel is now available through Sword & Soul Media at www.lulu.com. It collects all the previously published Dossouye stories, along with a brand-new novella. These stories are sequentially arranged, similar to the way the first Imaro novel was put together. I'm happy with the way it turned out. The release of Dossouye is the beginning of my comeback from the setback of what happened with Imaro last year. The comeback will continue when Sword & Soul publishes the remaining Imaro novels. I'm glad that the alternative of print-on-demand exists." Sasser on April 14, 2008 ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ Flooding the Market with Crap Like vultures picking a carcass clean, opportunistic POD publisher Dodo Press (a UK outfit) is churning out dozens of thin paperback editions consisting of two or three Howard stories (for $10.00 a pop!), each sporting a startlingly awful cover culled from some on-line warehouse of terrible paintings that seek (unsuccessfully) to match the content of the book it covers. Hopefully, like its namesake, these editions from this questionable publishing house will soon be extinct.
